Impact of Forest User Groups/Federations Led Initiatives on NTFP Enterprise Development: Creating Sustainable Livelihoods and Conservation Efforts Within the broader RUPFOR project supported by the Ford Foundation, this study is beng undertaken on understanding the impact (social, economic, financial, institutional and ecological) of forest user groups/federations led ntfp enterprise development in India.
Under this we plan to study three initiatives- CPF led initiatives in AP, RCDC initiatives in Orissa and Alternative technology initiatives in Uttarakhand. Currently the literature review is being done to understand both policy and field level initiatives and constraints in this area.
The overall objective is to understand the impact of forest user groups, federations, cooperatives, companies etc in securing livelihoods and conservation through ntfp enterprise development. more details
